Cocaine Use
Combi's Problem
Peru is the leading exporter in the world of cocaine. We generate about 20 million dollars, according to
The Wall Street Journal. This is a very powerful drug that ruin peoples lives.
Combi's Problem
In Peru, combis are the easiest and cheapest way to transport. There are lots of them orbiting around almost every part of Lima in this very moment. However, they go to a ridiculous speed to get more passengers in fewer time, that leads to more accidents. In this blog I'm going to think of incentives that will make drivers go safely.
Drivers need more money, by getting more passengers. But also, they have an incentive. There are combi checkpoints that get a list of every bus time. The combi that does the more rounds of their circuit get a pot of money at the end of the day. That is the worst incentive there could be. Because it means, drivers will go faster and with that, there will be more accidents.
I think, a better incentive would be: establish a given time and get exactly to it, to get the jackpot. In that way, they will go slower so that they arrive in time. And the time will be measure precisely, so that the combis won't speed up.
